These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all orders placed through risebyk.com (the “Site”), operated by RiseByK. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
About RiseByK
RiseByK is a small, home-based micro-bakery. All items are baked in small weekly batches and made to order — we don’t keep pre-made inventory.
Ordering
- No account is required or offered. All orders are placed as a guest checkout.
- Orders must be placed by Monday at 11:59pm to be included in that week’s Thursday batch. Orders placed after the cutoff are automatically scheduled for the following Thursday.
- By placing an order, you confirm the contact information you provide is accurate.
Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of ordering. We do not offer deposits, partial payment, or payment on pickup.
- We accept Stripe (credit/debit card), Zelle, and Venmo.
- Stripe orders are confirmed automatically. Zelle and Venmo orders are confirmed once we’ve verified the payment was received, and you’ll get a confirmation email with your pickup details at that point.
- Your order is not scheduled into production until payment has been received and confirmed.
Changes & Cancelations
Because every item is made to order in small batches, changes and cancelations are limited.
- You may request a change (flavor, pack size, diet version, or quantity) or a full cancelation with refund, as long as your request reaches us before the Monday 11:59pm order cutoff for that week’s batch.
- Once the Monday cutoff passes, your order goes into production for that week. At that point, we’re no longer able to make changes, cancel the order, or issue a refund — the order is final.
- To request a change or cancellation before the cutoff, contact us referencing your order number. We’ll confirm the update or refund by email.
- Refunds for cancellations made before the cutoff are issued to your original payment method — automatically for Stripe payments, manually within a few business days for Zelle/Venmo payments, or as store credit.
Please review your order carefully before completing payment, and reach out promptly if anything needs to change — once Monday’s cutoff passes, the order can no longer be modified or refunded.
Pickup
- Pickup is available only on Thursdays, at the address provided in your confirmation email.
- If you’re unable to make your scheduled pickup, contact us as soon as you can. Missed pickups are not eligible for a refund or replacement, and a make-up option cannot be guaranteed.
Delivery & shipping
We do not offer delivery or shipping — pickup only.
Allergen & ingredient disclosure
Our kitchen regularly handles nuts, dairy, eggs, and whey protein. While we offer gluten-free and vegan versions of our products, RiseByK is not a certified allergen-free facility, and cross-contact with allergens is possible. If you have a serious food allergy, contact us before ordering.
Product availability
Occasionally an ingredient or flavor may be unavailable. If this affects your order, we’ll reach out using your checkout contact information before your order goes into production.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RiseByK’s liability for any issue with an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of the Site.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
